October Release: Designer Now Starts from the Drawing

    Benjamin Nassler•October 30, 2026

When we started on Designer, we kept seeing the same first step: a designer pastes an image into ChatGPT and writes "like this, but in denim". You get a picture quickly. But change the colour and the sleeve length changes too.

    Why we rebuilt Designer

A good result needs things a chat box cannot take in: the exact fabric, the exact cut, how big the print is and where it sits. Our first fix was to stop painting each revision on top of the last photo, so the image no longer degrades from round to round. That fixed the quality, but not the accuracy. So we moved the start of a design to where a designer starts: the technical drawing.

    Drawing first, then photos

Collect what the design comes from on a board, and mark each image as fabric, garment reference, artwork or mood. The agent reads the board and writes a description for you to check.

The first result is a front and back drawing, already filled with your fabric. Ask for changes in plain words, or change a line yourself with Edit drawing and the fabric with Edit fill. Only then does Designer generate photorealistic images of it on a model, front and back.

Controls for what a sentence cannot say

Set the print scale, and drag the print within its repeat to place it, for example to centre an argyle diamond. A colour palette in the fill editor changes the colour on the drawing directly. A "Your changes" panel lists every pending change with a remove action, and what will be made next.

It is a step slower than typing a prompt. In return, the drawing changes only where you changed it.

Product Studio: planning is built in

The Shot Planner is no longer a separate place. A Product Studio shoot now runs on three tabs. On Products you upload your images, and they are scanned. On Plan the agent plans every shot, and you review the plan. On Results you generate the finals.

    Also new in October

    • The agent sees the page you are on, and sends a link when it needs you somewhere else.
    • When you ask it to render, it makes the free previews straight away and asks before paid finals.
    • "Ask the agent about this image" reviews that one image and proposes a fix.
    • A new Campaigns page, with search and stage tabs, replaces the campaign boards and the Campaign Library.
    • Campaign looks get their own aspect ratio, you can recast a look's model from the plan, and shots reorder by dragging.
    • A campaign image can use your location's image as a reference.
    • Duplicate a Product Studio perspective, and re-preview a single look without re-rendering the plan.
    • Packshots set to "Product only" no longer show other garments.
    • While the planner works, you see its progress instead of a spinner.
    • The design list and the Campaigns page load faster, the image editor saves large edits, AVIF uploads work, and the model list shows up to 150 models.
